An Art of Persuasion Tip on Dealing With Competitors

by Robert
(Jacksonville, Fla.)

The Art of Persuasion is based on the three basic classical elements of ethos, pathos and logos. They are meant to move the audience to move, act or think what you want them to.

The logical reasoning steps in the logos step must be supported by hard and compelling evidence and verifiable proof. It will expand your credibility and authority on your persuasion speech topics.

Providing enough facts and figures is one persuasion technique, but I think you can do more. Don't forget to research testimonials of real experts and colleques in the field.

Even the opinions and views of your competitors can be useful to discuss and analyze - of course in such a way that they support and conclude your beliefs and theories in the end.

Considering your competitors arguments is an art of persuasion in itself. It makes you much more believable. Taking serious account of the oppositional points will strengthen your credibility.

And above all, it can take away any concern or hesitation among the listeners. Especially when they tend to be somewhat cynical or hostile toward your persuasive speech topic.

Art of Persuasion
by: Jim-admin

Jim Peterson here. Thanks for your art of persuasion tip Robert. As I say on other places at this web site on developing speech topics: always understand what your competitor or the oppostion wants and wishes. It's the only way to convince your public speaking audience that you are right and they are not!
