Public Speaking Trainer - Checklist
Choosing a public speaking trainer is not difficult if you take note of the essential points in this checklist. Read my other selecting checklists on programs and online courses:
- Always be sure that the speaking trainer is affiliated with an accredited training program that helps you with the whole process, from developing and writing speech topics through the final presentation. As I often say: the best presentation starts with finding right speech topic ideas.
- Many people might get it in their heads that they are good speakers and therefore, they should be able to hire themselves out to train people how to speak. Do check their reliability and authority.
- Instructors might host a website. Check it on its accuracy and precision. When you're training for professional or educational purposes, you should train with the best.
- Seek out people that have a great track record in public speaking endeavors. Track their membership of professional speakers organizations.
- Instructors should be very good at imparting information. While someone might have a great speaking pattern when it comes to addressing audiences, they might not be good trainers. Just because one is good at speaking doesn't mean that they're good at teaching matters. This hazard many people find out the hard way. A good public speaking trainer is someone who possesses both skill qualities.
- Check testimonials and credentials and read what others say about methods that are used and the progress they made.
- Check time path; quantity of sessions, days, weeks.
- Any form of money back guarantee or customer service?
- Is there an option to speak live with the trainer in person by phone, or by mail?
